Garden Windows in Tulsa, OK
A garden window is a small glass box that sticks out from the wall, usually over the kitchen sink, with a shelf at the bottom. It’s a bright spot for herbs and plants, and more light where you stand every day.
Style example · Garden windowA small job that changes a kitchen
It’s one of our smaller projects, in cost and in time, and one of the most noticeable changes you can make to a kitchen without remodeling.
What makes one last
With glass on the top and sides, the glass matters more than on a flat window. Low-E glass keeps a south- or west-facing kitchen from heating up. The other key is where the box meets the wall: flashed and sealed right, it stays dry; done carelessly, it leaks within a few years.
Choices
Tempered glass for safety, vented side panels if you want air as well as light, and the roof style and shelf. If you plan to grow herbs, think about venting: a fully sealed box holds more humidity than a vented one.

Common questions
Where do garden windows go?
Most often over a kitchen sink, but they work anywhere you want more light and a shelf.
Will a garden window raise my cooling bill?
With the right glass and a good install, it doesn’t have to. Glass matters more here than on a flat window, and we’ll help you choose.
How long does a garden window take?
Usually one day, depending on the opening.
Are garden windows hard to clean?
Not really. The angled panes take a little more care than a flat window.
